As many of you know, I sometimes write articles for this blog and my other blogs, for pay. It has enabled me to earn a living, whereas I would not be able to in any other capacity. Because of a back injury, I am laid up sometimes for long periods of time, but my fingers are still in very good, typing condition.

Listen, I have some things to tell you and you’re not going to like it. And to be honest with you? It’s taken me about 5 false starts just to get this post out. Because I so very much want you to like this place. But sometimes… well, sometimes I just have to take a deep breath and say “fuck it.

Many of us who are students of this space continue their learning throughout the year and not just at Affiliate Summit.  So it’s important for people like me to remember that just because I didn’t really learn anything new from this panel doesn’t mean there weren’t some newbies that learned volumes.  I can’t speak for them, of course.

It is an effective way for your blog to be recognized in what they now call, the “blogosphere”.

Is there any blogger who is not yet familiar with IZEA? There might be some, but I guess there are very few of them. Most bloggers know that Izea is the social media advertising who is the one responsible for the very popular payperpost and socialspark. Payperpost came first and now socialspark is starting to grow very rapidly.

Have you every fantasized about getting yourself featured in th newspapers, television, of the radio? This past weekend some of the IZEA folks, along with sister company MindComet, gave up their Saturday morning to help a local non-profit organization do some much-needed painting in their facilities. Granted, we were indoors for most it, in the air conditioning, but I think we all felt good about helping those who are a little less fortunate than we.
