This interview was originally posted 29 August, 2006. Iain Sinclair has been acclaimed as one of Britain’s most visionary writers and as an incomparable prose stylist.

The folks over at Monergism.com have formed a hall of fame of sorts, called the Hall of Contemporary Reformers. This Reformed Hall of Fame contains the names of John Piper, R.C. Sproul, James White, Tim Keller, Sinclair Ferguson, John MacArthur, Al Mohler, C.J. Mahaney, Michael Horton, D.A.

When Iain Sinclair and Will Self appeared on stage together earlier this year to talk about psychogeography, chaired by Kevin Jackson, I wondered what mystical forces aligned for this event to come to pass, given that Sinclair on a couple of occasions has publicly expressed the view that Self has got ‘absolutely nothing to do with psychogeography’.

London Orbital by Iain Sinclair is an interesting counterpoint to Mrs. P's Journey by Sarah Hartley. It is part map and part memoir of the outer fringes of London where the M25 makes its 125 mile (give or take) loop around the city. Sinclair's walk in the late 1990s was inspired by his hatred for the Millennium dome.
