I surprised the wife today with some of her Valentine's goodies, the latest season of Dallas (she's a whore for bad television from the 80's) and a small little candy item. She was suitably happy and I sent her on her way to a meeting. I made a pot of coffee to try and get the eyes completely open while I checked e-mail, then got to work.

I got up an hour and a half ealier today to make a Valentine’s Day mix CD to post, filled with the ups and downs and inside-outs of love, the hopes, dreams, and fears that go with relationships, the triumphs and the heartaches.  It was gonna be a masterpiece.

This amazing illustration (above) is the work of a stunning Tucson artist simply named Milk. Her gallery of semi-avante garde artwork intricately blends elements of classic art styles with symbols of modernism that often reflect the darker and more disturbing side of love, loneliness and apparently substance abuse.
