Intimacy

Intimacy. The mention of the word can convey warm and fuzzy images and also generate uncertainty and fear. Even while people seem drawn to the idea of having intimacy in their lives, they still struggle with understanding intimacy and how to develop and keep an intimate relationship. Desirable, strong feelings of closeness and connection are typically associated with a sense of intimacy.

But how do couples both achieve and maintain closeness and connection to each other in committed relationships such as marriage? Bloggers ask questions and seek answers. Is it through sex or emotions?

Both emotional sharing and sexual sharing are among the most important avenues through which people may achieve intimacy in a relationship. Certainly emotional intelligence in relationships also plays a large role in increasing closeness and connection. Yet some people believe they need to share sexual intimacy first before risking an emotional connection. Others feel the opposite. But the two are usually connected. Intimacy is a very complex emotion that is felt in various ways. Experts recommend ways couples can recharge intimacy in their marriages.
