    Secure Files with Your IronKey

    http://www.pinoytux.com/ gadgets/ secure-files-with-your-ironkey

Working as a system administrator requires a lot of memory power with all the servers that I am managing at work. Not to say the huge amount of passwords that go with it. And I must admit that my memory is not to be trusted (hey, even Einstein once suggested not to trust your memory!) with these credentials that if compromised or forgotten, will mean death to my career.

    Keeping It Secret

    http://stormbringer005.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 07/ keeping-it-secret.html

Buona sera. Your not-so-humble host is a bit wound up today. First of all, it's my mother's birthday. She has been gone for almost five years, but every once in a while, I still get a twinge. The old girl had a good run of 81 years, though. That was the somber news.

    http://www.thegadgetblog.net/ 2008/ 07/ 25/ ironkey-worlds-most-secure-thumb-dri…

How many USB keys are lost or stolen every year?  Lots. How many of those keys have confidential corporate information on them?  Lots. How many of those data keys are encrypted?  Not many. USB Data Keys..  A great little gadget that allows users to store up to 320GBs of data in their pocket that’s accessible simply by plugging it into a USB slot on a PC.

Cold Boot Source Code Released by Princeton Researchers

    http://blog.ironkey.com/ ?p=423

The source code to the Cold Boot attack has been released by the Princeton researchers. These tools were used in their February paper to attack software encryption. Essentially they shut down an encrypted computer, froze the memory with a can of freeze spray, rebooted from a USB flash drive and recovered the AES encryption keys, allowing them to decrypt the computer’s disk drive.

    Ironkey

Sure, regular flash drives are cheap and handy, but what if someone should pass you the plans for the Deathstar? The average thumb drive has zero protection, so if you misplace it or it’s stolen, any personal information you had on those files has been compromised. That’s where Ironkey comes in.
