CIOs: Finally Falling for Novell Again?
http://www.thevarguy.com/ 2008/ 08/ 29/ cios-finally-falling-for-novell-again/Lots of open source fans booed when Novell jumped into bed with Microsoft. But perhaps sleeping with Microsoft really is good for Novell’s health. Anecdotal evidence is starting to suggest that CIOs (chief information officers) actually like seeing Novell and Microsoft arm in arm.

Tab Sweep : JBoss
http://blog.softwhere.org/ archives/ 295Bob McWhirter is coming back - have’t met him but I’ve heard good things about him. He’s going to be working on integration of AS 5 and Ruby - that’s going to be pretty neat. Read more on fnokd! JBoss Cache is now searchable - and JBC is turning into a bit of a family project ! From what I’ve read so far - Red hat scored some Brownie points for disclosing the recent intrusion.

GitHub Mirrors for some JBoss Projects
http://www.fnokd.com/ 2008/ 08/ 21/ github-mirrors-for-some-jboss-projects/In addition to the previously-mentioned JRuby mirror from Codehaus SVN to GitHub, I’m now also mirroring: JBoss Microcontainer JBoss AS5 JRuby All are trunk-only mirrors, not picking up branches or tags. Since the JBoss repository path has about 77,000 subversion revisions, and at one point held any and all JBoss software ever written, I have not mirrored it in its entirety.
