International singing sensation, record producer and actress Janet Damita Jo Jackson was born on May 16, 1966 in Gary, Indiana. As the youngest of 9 showbiz children, Janet was thrust into the entertainment spotlight at a very young age. She released her self-titled debut album in the summer of 1982 and is ranked by Billboard magazine as one of the top ten best-selling music artists in the history of contemporary music, having sold over 100 million albums worldwide.

Her impressive discography includes hit singles like "What Have You Done For Me Lately," "Nasty," "Let's Wait A While," "Miss You Much," "That's The Way Love Goes," "Together Again," "Go Deep," "All For You" and "All Nite (Don't Stop)." In 1995, Janet joined her brother Michael Jackson on the chart-topping single "Scream."

In 2000, Janet appeared alongside funnyman Eddie Murphy in the hit film Nutty Professor II: The Klumps. She has also starred in Poetic Justice (1993), Why Did I Get Married? (2007), and Why Did I Get Married Too? (2010).

Controversy struck during Super Bowl XXXVIII when her right breast became exposed at the end of a halftime duet with Justin Timberlake.
