Just read that the talented actor Roy Scheider passed away earlier today (February 10th). Scheider, in his best-known film roles (JAWS 1 and 2, THE FRENCH CONNECTION, BLUE THUNDER, 52 PICKUP), was a terrific embodiment of the Everyman character doing his best to cope with out-of-the-ordinary circumstances.
