It's a feisty, contradictory mix of politics, religion, and personal views now sitting as Barack Obama's judge on his Middle East tour. As this article shows, one person may think he'll improve things by with-drawing... read more

Review: Twelve Red Herrings (Jeffrey Archer)

    http://when-books-tell-a-story.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 07/ review-twelve-red-herring…

Twelve Red Herrings is a collection of twelve short stories by Jeffrey Archer. Each of the stories ends with a twist and hidden within each story is a red herring that Archer challenges his readers to uncover. I liked the first story in the collection, Trial and Error which is almost like a murder mystery.

Might The Answer Be Choc Ices?

    http://richardmadeley.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 07/ might-answer-be-choc-ices.html

What more noble pursuit is there for a blogger other than asking important questions otherwise ignored by the mainstream media? In my humble opinion, the pressing issue of the day isn’t Zimbabwe, the price of oil, or even guessing when that Scottish lad will get knocked out of Wimbledon (I say he'll be gone by Friday).

Titles and honours for the great and the good

    http://robertkyriakides.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 06/ 18/ titles-and-honours-for-the-…

On Sunday 15th June the Queen’s official birthday was, as is customary, accompanied by an honours list. Some people were elevated to the ranks of the great and the good of our society and others, already part of the great and the good, became more great and more good, as their honours went up a notch or two in the grand scheme.

"Indians are the new Jews and are taking over Britain", Lord Archer. Indians are the 'new Jews' of Britain, which will one day day be ruled by an Indian prime minister, according to disgraced Tory peer Lord Archer.

    A question of honour...

    http://fairdealphil.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 06/ question-of-honour.html

Jim Speechley, former Tory Leader of Lincolnshire County Council was stripped of his CBE honour after he was jailed for abuse of office. Absolutely right that the shamed ex-Crowland councillor can no longer claim to be a Commander of the Order of the British Empire...

Best-selling author Jeffrey Archer on Rupert Murdoch on the NDTV show Walk the Talk, hosted by Indian Express editor in chief, Shekhar Gupta: I know you have your interest in so many things, also in cricket, but also on the fourth estate, the media, for example. What is your view on Murdoch now? Well, Murdoch.

    http://asianwindow.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 06/ 02/ on-the-record-jeffrey-archer/

Bestselling author Jeffrey Archer is a man of many parts — he was captain of the athletics team at Oxford, he ran for his country, and was a Conservative MP at 29. He wrote his first novel, Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less, in 1976. Since then he has kept producing works that always topped the charts.

    Archer's blogging blunder

    http://rishabhiscool.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 06/ archers-blogging-blunder.html

Image via WikipediaI guess not much needs to be said about celebrity blogging. Everyday as I read my feeds, I find another name from popular culture entering the blogosphere. Recently I had heard somewhere that Jeffrey Archer had his own simple blog which he was updating quite regularly.

    Fairytale Endings

    http://manuscrypts.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ fairytale-endings.html

We hurried, after all it was not everyday that we could listen to a Lord. We didn't make it early enough because there was already quite a crowd in attendance, most of whom were not pleased to see latecomers trying to squeeze their way in between. The lord came on time, and had his audience spellbound with his anecdotes and immense sense of humour.
