Learning is the act of acquiring new knowledge, behaviors, or skills. Some people learn because they want to have a better education, or to achieve goals. Some animals learn as a result of conditioning or out of habit. It can also happen consciously or without even realizing that one is learning.

The first form of learning that happens in life is play.  A baby will learn how to interact and experiment with rules by playing games, and using their imaginations. Puppies learn about their environment from early in life by biting, chewing, and smelling new objects. Kittens learn how to hunt prey by batting and playing with balls of yarn.

Another way of learning is imitating. Children look up adults and try to imitate their behaviors, or people learning a skill or a language imitate those who already hold the ability.

Many internet blogs are dedicated to learning. The internet holds a wealth of shared knowledge, and many educators write and read blogs attempting to increase education and compare notes with others. Most blogs have a main author and many contributors who write in response to "Big Questions" the author asks about learning in today's society.
