Limewire

According to their official site, Limewire is a "fast, easy-to-use file sharing program" and is "compatible with all major platforms...running over the Gnutella network, LimeWire's open source code."

Started in 2000, Limewire focuses on file-sharing technology, specifically peer-to-peer networking, where users can share their music, video, and other multimedia and text files over the Internet. Limewire has received positive reviews for its product, including CNet Australia, Linux.com, and Music-Software-Reviews.com.

Limewire is currently located in New York City. Downloads of their freeware product are available through their own site and via CNet's Download.com, with the latter offering further reviews and information regarding their product.
