Stellar Cast Lined Up for Ang Lee's Taking Woodstock

    http://www.towleroad.com/ 2008/ 08/ stellar-cast-li.html

Since I posted in May about the casting of Demetri Martin as Elliot Tiber, the gay interior decorator, hotel manager, and Bethel, NY Chamber of Commerce head who played a central role in facilitating the legendary rock festival in upstate New York, the cast has evolved quite a bit.

Ang Lee Threatens Fowl Play in Taking Woodstock [Casting Couch]

You have to give Ang Lee credit for being a wily and unpredictable filmmaker. He’s moved somewhat seamlessly from low-budget dramedy (The Wedding Banquet) to classic period piece (Sense and Sensibility) to infidelity drama (The Ice Storm) to ignored western (Ride With the Devil) to much maligned

    Taking Woodstock Cast Announced!

    http://glaadorg.nexcess.net/ cinequeer/ 2008/ 08/ taking-woodstock-cast-announce…

Taking Woodstock, the upcoming Ang Lee/James Schamus film (the geniuses who brought us Brokeback Mountain) is set to begin production late this month. The film is based on the memoir of Elliot Tiber, a gay Greenwich Village interior decorator who volunteered his family's Catskills motel as the home base of the Woodstock music festival in 1969.

…but I’ll try.  A sprint of sorts through deacades of deserving contenders (in my opinion, of course). I ask you this: How did those lovable characters from “The Wizard of Oz,” portrayed so brilliantly by Ray Bolger (Scarecrow), Jack Haley (Tin Man), Bert Lahr (Lion) and Margaret Hamilton (Wicked Witch), fail to be nominated in any of the supporting categories?

BENNETT COHON & THE FREEWAY SERIES...

    http://playwrighter.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ nice-ego-booster-out-of-blue.html

A nice ego-booster out of the blue. Bennett Cohon directed my play, Dead Angel, back in 2005 up in Hollywood. He spotted my blog on the internet and emailed me, said he remembered Dead Angel, liked it a lot and would I be interested in submitting something for Write Act Repertory's Freeway Series? I sent him Team Player, Thank You and Missing.
