Seen at the Maryville BBQ festival. Um… No thanks…

What caught my eye was the rows of buildings in the foreground; they're part of a smelting plant owned and operated by Alcoa (it's actually located in the city of Alcoa, right next door). Maryville is where Sam Houston spent his youth.

It’s that time of year again when we reward our kids for all of their hard work. Each school system has its own awards for various activities and academics, and we should be proud of all of our students. Recently, three award ceremonies spotlighted students we would like share with you.

The City of Maryville is looking to raise taxes by 12%. Maryville City Manager Greg McClain said this was going to be a tough budget year, due to state and federal cuts and the increase in gasoline prices that affect almost everything.

Introducing Ava May 13, 2008 – 11:02 pm At just a few weeks old, Ava was ready for her debut! Even though she was taking a short nap when I arrived, she quickly awakened for her chance to show off for the camera. Then the rest of the time we spent trying to get her back to sleep for those precious little sleeping baby pics.

As I’m sure you’ve noticed (if you’ve read one or two posts here), I’m an advocate for leveraging the power of the Internet to improve the customer service (profit, effectiveness, etc.) of your business (organization, civic group).

and Baby Makes 3! May 6, 2008 – 6:24 am  July 7, 2007 was a big day for weddings around the world, and I found myself busy that day with the wedding of Richard & Sara. We all hit it off from the beginning! Their engagement session was incredible and their wedding was awesome too.

Ahrrr, Mateys… Lawson is here! May 5, 2008 – 4:16 pm Recently I got to spend time with Baby Lawson and his wonderful family. It was really funny becasue his mom was referred to me by someone, but it ends up that we live just around the corner from each other.

May 2, 2008 Thursday and Friday, we were able to spend the days at the beach. This was personally my first time to ever see the Pacific Ocean, and it was definitely a blast! Getting to our destination was nothing like what I would have expected. We had to travel through the mountains to get to the beach.
