http://rushthecourt.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 11/ 23/ set-your-tivos-week-3/Our third installment of Set Your Tivos brings us what I consider the first legitimate tournament of the season–the Maui Invitational. It’s your yearly chance to see some of the biggest names in college basketball rocking Hawaiian t-shirts or polos.

Q&A #119: How Do I Apply SPR To My Game?
http://www.notedpokerauthority.com/ qa/ qa-119-how-do-i-apply-spr-to-my-game.htm…In the first no-limit book that I co-wrote with Sunny Mehta and Matt Flynn (as opposed to the upcoming book), Professional No-Limit Hold’em: Volume 1 (PNL1), we devoted a large chunk of the text to the concept of using Stack-to-Pot Ratios (SPR) to plan your hands and to make commitment decisions.

85,000 Words
http://www.notedpokerauthority.com/ news/ 85000-words.htmlI mentioned last month that the new book with Sunny Mehta and Matt Flynn was coming along well. Since that post I took a weeklong trip to New Orleans to visit Sunny, and we used that time to really crank hard on the manuscript. On that trip we took stock of our progress, and we realized that we had written about 85,000 words so far.

Packers Bye Week Report
http://lombardiave.com/ 2008/ 10/ 30/ packers-bye-week-report/The following was written by Packers fan and associate of mine, Eric S., also known as Cheezhead. He was kind enough to type up a position-by-position analysis of the Packers so far this season for me for the bye week. I am extremely grateful to him for this. Your thoughts? QUARTERBACKS Going into this season, the Green Bay Packers had a huge question mark at quarterback.

http://www.policy.net.nz/ blog/ 2008/ 10/ 22/ pledgegate-08-union-boss-criticise…Former Alliance Party President and General-Secretary of the powerful and fast-growing Unite union - perhaps New Zealand’s most (only) successful union in terms of actually delivering pay rises into members’ pockets - has criticised Labour’s “information kit” scam, which is designed to raid the

http://cusecountry.com/ ?p=989To the Chinese, the number 8 is symbolic of good luck and fortune. (It’s no coincidence that the Beijing Olympics opened on the night of 8/8/08, at 8:08:08pm.) Syracuse fans have a choice. The number 8 can either represent Cody Catalina or the #8 reason to get pumped for basketball season: #8: Insane

A Quick Personal Update
http://www.notedpokerauthority.com/ news/ a-quick-personal-update.htmlI don’t give you guys too many updates on my life and projects, so I figured it was time. The last few months have been extremely hectic in Ed Miller land. In July, Elaine and I dragged ourselves back across the country and bought a nice little foreclosure home in Las Vegas.

Atlanta Falcons (2-2) @ Green Bay Packers (2-2)
http://lombardiave.com/ 2008/ 10/ 05/ atlanta-falcons-2-2-green-bay-packers-2-2/…I’m not actually sure that anyone thought the Atlanta Falcons would have the same record as the Packers going into this game. Due to a rough stretch hit by the Packers, they do. Losses to the Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have set the Packers back to .500, tied for first place in the NFC South with the Chicago Bears.

Week 5 Preview: Atlanta at Green Bay
http://www.nflgridirongab.com/ 2008/ 10/ 03/ week-5-preview-atlanta-at-green-bay…The Atlanta Falcons are one of the surprise teams in the league at 2-2, and have a shot to improve over .500 on Sunday if the Pack has to turn to backup QB Matt Flynn when the two teams meet at Lambeau Field. The Falcons fell for their second straight road loss last week to the Panthers, but continue to show signs of being a team that is clearly no push over.
