If you caught Ashlee Simpson on the Today show the other day you saw her expertly avoid THE PREGNANCY QUESTION. I don’t know if she’s trying to be coy or just plain doesn’t want to talk about it, but her answer to Matt Lauer’s inquiry was, “Only time will tell with that.” So true.

Ashlee Simpson performed live on the Today show yesterday, and I loved how the interview went before she sang. Matt Lauer asked her about her album and her engagement (natch) but then asked about THE PREGNANCY RUMOR. This was the first time I saw Ashlee really answer it with grace and humility.

Today show co-anchor, Matt Lauer, was spotted getting into his chauffeured SUV with his baby on his lap.  TMZ cameras caught Lauer with wife Annette and son Thijs leaving the Marc Jacobs store in SoHo this past Saturday, with Lauer holding his son on his lap as his SUV took off.   (I couldn’t find a video to put up here so click on the image to your left if you want to see it).
