The man that has headed Team Ninja with his rock steady demeanor at Tecmo has sent out a statement letting us know that he plans on resigning from the company effective July 1st.

Ninja Gaiden Dir. Leaves Team Ninja, Sues Tecmo Mere hours before the North American debut of Ninja Gaiden II, director Tomonobu Itagaki announced that he will leave Team Ninja and plans to file suit against parent company Tecmo for unpaid bonuses, according to 1UP.
