Tag details

Mobile blogging (moblogging) is a form of blogging in which the user publishes blog entries directly to the web from a mobile phone or other mobile device. Moblogging has created a whole new genre of short form blogging, where events are chronologically commented upon.

With the arrival of YouTube, Flickr and others, it is now very straightforward for users to post video clips and stills from their mobile phone. Many people have created journals of their lives and activities. Twitter is a very popular micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read other users' updates, tweets, which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length. Updates are displayed on the user's profile page and delivered to other users who have signed up to follow those updates.

Many blogging platform such as Wordpress or Typepad have plugins that enable the platform for microblogging.
