Multi-Site Exposed is the conference for anyone interested in catching the vision for going multi-site or learning some of the strategies and tactics of leading multi-site churches. In order to give you a preview of what this conference is all about we are doing a webinar tomorrow on Tuesday August 26th from 3:00-4:00 pm CST.

It’s been a long time since I’ve visited a church as a “regular person.” I’ve been to a lot of churches over the years, but generally either with a friend who is an attender of that church or sometimes because I’ve been invited to speak.

We will begin student ministry at our South Campus for Gateway Community Church on September 14th. Having another student ministry venue would never be possible without volunteers and leaders to make it happen. Danny Lowe will be coordinating student ministry at South and I am glad he has stepped up to make this happen.

Carlos Whittaker recently posted a blog where he goes through 9 different mega-church “myths.”  Well, I’m not sure he deals with the myths as carefully as he could have, because there are definite truths to some of them.  I understand for every myth there are exceptions to the rule, but universally,

Here’s a thoughtful critique of the multi-site model of churches on the Out of Ur blog.  I certainly have my cynicism about the model, but always thought the same thing that he states in point #2 of the article.  I think he answers my objection well.  Read the critique here.

I have successfully finished my first week at Seacoast Church! In just a few days I can see that I have embarked on an amazing opportunity to work with some very talented and passionate people!
