Music: I’ve been thinking about just releasing my music for free.  I’m not after money with it, after all.  It’s just a hobby like blogging is.  My words and thoughts are free, maybe my music should be the same?  I’m protected with Creative Commons anyway. Of course first I’d need evidence that anybody gives a shit before I do that.

Thirteen of 'em, be exact. Different ones for different age kids, right? 1) Classics for Kids - must have flash player - Great for young beginners. I especially liked the composing game. 2) Franktown Rocks - My 11y/o boy loves this one. I have to actually set limits on how long he can be on the computer because of this game.

KNOW BASIC MUSIC THEORY There are a lot of musicians walking around today who will disagree with me. There are a greater number of accomplished musicians who will agree. So, I'll just toss 'em all in, grab my spoon and stir things up a bit. If you're going to hang with the big boys & girls .

I spent $600* on this program so it’s damn well appropriate that I should be using it on a frequent basis. But I’ve been thinking, have any of you taken on a creative hobby that sometimes feels like you’re only making minor progress because simply going through the motion is what you find most appealing?

It’s entirely possible that the music I write is complete garbage.  I have no delusions that that happens to a lot of people and I may very well be one of them. But the more I think about it, crappiness has had little to do with who wants to listen to demos or who supports it out of friendship.
