Having grown up watching Jacque Cousteau and Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom, I have always found watching television programs on foreign lands and how indigenous animals live there to be fascinating. But seeing how Animal Planet markets its documentary series on meerkats, it seems that, nowadays, learning about about the animal kingdom isn’t rewarding enough.

I was recently going over a couple of weeks worth of posts at the Get Outdoors blog (seems I am always trying to play catch-up) when I happened to glance over and catch a link titled “CyberHobo”.  The very first post at the CyberHobo blog caught my attention.

Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom Return to Pengiun City episode aired on Sunday, March 23rd at 7PM on Discovery Channel. The episode uncovered the secret lives of the Adelie Pengiuns. Grant Ballard has been studying these penguins and has ammased alot of data on them over the years.
