I was picked up by my grandfather and some guy that was with him, and only halfway to Grandpa’s house did I find out that this was “C” - my mother’s new husband. I sat silently as this soaked in, I was on my way to meet my mother.

My 15th college reunion is coming up this weekend, and as a class officer doing the behind-the-scenes preparations, I’ve had my head squarely stuck in the late 80s and early 90s. Back then I didn't know why This is a bit late, but I wasn't able to write much right before/on Mother's Day because I didn't have a place to stay for the summer until yesterday.
