NaBloPoMo
NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) was started in November 2006 by Eden Kennedy of Fussy. Formed as an offshoot of NaNoWriMo, (National Novel Writing Month), it is largely responsible for overflowing feed readers in November. The challenge is stated simply as Post every day for the month of November. That's all you have to do.
In 2007, Eden moved the program to a Ning Network. Numerous bloggers and companies donate prizes for the end of the month random prize drawings for those who complete the challenge. In March of 2008, the project went to a monthly format, with a topic sent out at the beginning of each month.

Stopping to smell the roses —

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, well maybe not too much, but with November almost over, and with the holidays just around the corner, it is time to think about shopping, Christmas trees, decorations, and Christmas cards. Although these days it doesn’t seem that as many people send Christmas cards as ...1 hour ago -

“Can I have that yellow pick up truck? It’s for sale.” “Sure.” “Really?!?” “Yep. Just find a way to finish the payments on your car, get rid of your car, and increase your income enough to pay for the payments on the yellow pick up truck.” “Why do you spend so much of every day coming up with ...2 hours ago -

Last night I met Jerry Seinfeld. It was on my Life List, the Mondo Beyondo anything is possible list, I’m not sure WHY I wanted to meet him – it’s not like I had anything to say – but I did and it happened. And I can’t tell you how affirming it was. This life of mine, full of adventure and good stuff ...4 hours ago -

I have to acknowledge the inspiration for this years set. Had it not been for an inquiry by Cynthia B. (the mother of another handsome young man named Ben) I probably wouldnt have even put one together. She has been kind enough to purchase sets each year that weve had them and usually a great many of them! Thanks ...4 hours ago -
the breastfeeding diet

I had read a decent amount about the benefits of breastfeeding for both the mother and the baby, but I don’t think I quite expected results like this.In general I maintained a fairly healthy diet throughout my pregnancy. I exercised up until I was 36 weeks and only stopped because I began to have blood [...]7 hours ago -

Why does it take me so long to pack? For someone who travels as much as I do, youd think Id have this figured out by now. In fairness, packing for JAX is tricky... you never know if its going to be 40 degrees or 80 on Thanksgiving, and chances are it will be both. At this point, Im sick of thinking about it, so I just ...8 hours ago -

Were in Boston today. Jeremy and I spent our 8th anniversary on a six-hour road trip and then spent the night in fabulous hotel accommodations...crammed into one room with our two kids. Nevertheless, I do love me a good road trip. We only stopped twice, but we struck out both times. The first time, I really, really ...9 hours ago -

Never Waste Food Again - 50 Ways, 50 pieces of advice. I found this post through a link on Eco-Women. I do fairly well on this list. Vegetables are fairly easy. I was trying not to have too much overlap this month and I know Ive already featured a couple board game cakes , but this one is what a modern day "true gamer" cake would consist of. Were all aware of Captain Karens serious addiction to reality programming. I fear its about to sink to an all new level of low. Seeing that Thanksgiving is around the corner, my thoughts have been turning to Christmas and gifting.
