Google Maps, the ocean world and multimedia
http://www.andrewzahler.com/ 2008/ 05/ 04/ google-maps-the-ocean-world-and-multi…Journerdism once again steered me to an interesting item, this time about Google getting the itch to map the terrain under Earth’s oceans. I’ve always been fascinated with all things oceanic. The geek in me hopes Google Ocean happens just so I can mess around with it.

http://www.temp2escape.com/ news/ you-can-make-money-online-dr-irfan-khairiYesterday, I went to MPH Midvalley Megamall right after work. I love books but I hate buying. Hahaha. Most of the magazines and books are so expensive. It is way beyond my budget. Especially those related to web design and development. While browsing for interesting things to read, the title of this book instantly captured my eyes.

http://commenturl.com/ 2008/ 02/ 29/ great-pics-of-extreme-earthice-bergs-gorges…photography.nationalgeographic.com [Nat Geo] Some of the pics are pretty spectacular. E.g., Blue icebergs with penguins in S.Sandwich Islands; Geyser Basin at Yellowstone; bizarre rock spires in Ethiopia (like from other planet)… Don't just stand there'sit, squat, lie down.

Great Pics Of Early North Pole Expeditions
http://commenturl.com/ 2008/ 02/ 22/ great-pics-of-early-north-pole-expeditions/…photography.nationalgeographic.com [From Nat Geo] All B&W photos mostly from early 1900s — some striking, all (together) giving a good visual sense of the scope & vastness of the challenge at the time… Always be on the lookout for humor. You might be surprised at how frequently it shows up, even in the most extreme environments.

Koh Tao
http://worldramblers.com/ koh-tao/Southeast Asia plays a special role in my life as it would to anyone who appreciates wild beauty, laughter and a bit of chaos. Tucked below China and dipping into warm tropical waters that seem to breathe fresh air into your soul, I found a home for a few chapters of my life in Thailand.
