Alas More Housing Numbers-I Apologize

The S&P/Case-Shiller indices indicate that there is some moderation in some areas in the rate of home-price declines. Overall, the 20 city index showed a decline of 15.9% from June 2007 to June 2008 while the 10 city index showed a decline of 17%.

New Home Sales Up 2.4 Percent in July

The report also indicated continuing contraction in the number of new-homes for sale as builders keep a tight rein on inventories to help restore better balance between market supply and demand.
