I really dont think there’s one ‘uniform’ way that we,as muslims,should look like.Both the male and the female have been given certain rules as to how we should look,even with these rules we have room to move around.The male muslim is supposed to be covered from his chest to his shins.So no stomachs

Last week Hazel Blears has announced that the government would fund a "Theology board" for Muslims in the UK. In an interview with Radio 4, she said lots of nice - and true - things about Islam: that it is peaceful, that it is a religion of compassion, and then Kaboom! She claimed that this board will allow for a "proper interpretation" of Islam.

"France's highest administrative court upheld a decision to deny citizenship to Ms. (Faiza) Silmi, 32, on the ground that her 'radical' practice of Islam was incompatible with French values like equality of the sexes." 'Radical' practice of Islam? A muslim woman wearing a face veil is a 'radical?' She marries a French citizen eight years ago.

Faiza Silmi applied for French citizenship worrying that her fluency in French might not be sufficient to impress anyone examining her petition. Little did she believe her request for citizenship would not be denied on her ability to speak French or know about French history, but upon the manner in which she dressed.

Interesting developments in France (emphasis added): Politicians, feminists and some Muslim leaders here are applauding a court decision to deny citizenship to a Muslim woman from Morocco whose French husband requires her to completely cover her face and body.
