OAuth: One Step Closer to Convergence

    http://idlemode.com/ 2008/ 08/ 26/ oauth-one-step-closer-to-convergence/

OAuth: One Step Closer to Convergence One of the tenets of modern convergence, or at least our version of it, is that portability of content — across sites, portable devices and applications — is paramount. The usefulness of all that personal information, user generated content and contacts can expand and create new or enhanced services when more of those services open themselves up.

OAuth Licensed, a Step on the Way to the Open Web

    http://www.hueniverse.com/ hueniverse/ 2008/ 08/ oauth-licensed.html

Specification are tricky creatures. On their own, they are only copyrightable. But on their own they are also not very interesting. Their value is in their implementations, and those are subject to patents. If you have been following the tech world over the past couple of year, you know that patents can be very risky to developers.

OAuth hits an important milestone... OAuth Licensed! It's been a back and forth discussion on the OAuth list for a while now - and with some people (zealots? ;o) having ideas they weren't even willing to contribute to the OAuth group until the IPR was sorted I'm glad to finally see it's been completed,

I’m proud to help my friends at Ma.gnolia with this awesome announcement (we’re at Gnomedex where we’ve just told the audience about this). Today’s announcement of Ma.gnolia 2, or M2 for short, is a ground-up rewrite of Ma.gnolia, re-creating features I love today, taking a second run at what didn’t

    http://www.revenews.com/ angeldjambazov/ distributed-communities-and-the-social-…

To a bookworm a bookmark is simply a method of not losing your place. For social entrepreneurs like Larry Halff they are the building blocks of online communities. Coming from a cultural anthropology and sociology background Larry was always interested in how people communicate, get together, form groups, and interact.
