The third movie in a successful series of heist films, Ocean’s Thirteen did not disappoint - especially when compared to it’s predecessor, Ocean’s Twelve. I loved the fast pace of this film, as well as the “revenge” aspect to the storyline. Much like the other films, “Thirteen” involved a highly complicated plot to score a huge pile of money.

Sure, we all figure that the bigger movie this weekend will be Speed Racer, but we were at a loss for a Top 10 list on that film. So we went to the next best thing, the counter-programming rom com What Happens in Vegas. In the film, Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher get wild and drunk, then get hitched on a crazy night in Vegas.

Having just seen Forgetting Sarah Marshall (excellent, by the way) it occurred to me that That ’70s Show somehow became the Kevin Bacon of modern Hollywood. Its cast is basically connected to anyone of any importance in film-making, and I never would have guessed such a thing would happen.

Danny Ocean, that is. PKR and I have watched Ocean's Eleven, Ocean's Twelve and Ocean's Thirteen over the past few days. They are three fun movies about a group of thieves who pull off three different big jobs. Ocean's Eleven is a remake of a 1960 version starring original "Rat Pack" members Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop.

I was all stoked about the fact that George Clooney was reportedly talkin' 'bout havin' babies with current girlfriend and latter-day Cinderella figure Sarah Larson. I mean, such an awesome story: humble but gorgeous waitress charms megatastically gorgeous bachelor movie star and makes megatastically gorgeous babies! A little counter-feminist, but still.
