New Video for Christina Merkley, SHIFT-IT Coach

    http://bsetc.ca/ blog/ 2008/ 08/ 26/ new-video-for-christina-merkley-shift-it-co…

In April (or was it May? The months seem to blur by!) I went out to Victoria, BC to help my client Christina Merkley with a workshop (if you need workshop assistance, see our new page for that service). While there, I filmed some footage with my little Flip camera and when I got back, strung it together to make a highlight reel of some of the key moments of the workshop.

Deloitte/Beeline/SNCR study released on online communities

    http://marketingconversation.com/ 2008/ 07/ 22/ deloittebeelinesncr-study-releas…

Deloitte, along with Beeline Labs and the Society of New Communications Research, has come out with a study showing the current challenges and rewards of today’s online corporate created “communities”. It’s created a decent amount of chatter, which is not surprising considering that this industry is in its nascent stages and everyone is trying to figure it out.

Window Dog The dog days of summer are here, and I want to be outside on these glorious, sunny Seattle days. With a long wet winter, we tend to be hyper aware of the magnificence of our Pacific Northwest Summers. Right now there are raspberries and strawberries ripening in my garden. Flowers.

The World Cafe Community - Virtual Cafes?

    http://www.fullcirc.com/ wp/ 2008/ 07/ 10/ the-world-cafe-community-virtual-cafe…

There is a very interesting conversation buzzing around in various locations online about how to do World Cafes online. I am feeling tortured, because I’d like to be fully participating, but due to the “to do list” I’m watching from the side.

“The role of Radio” Workshop - DAY 3

    http://talksharelearn.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 04/ 30/ %e2%80%9cthe-role-of-radio%e2…

The third and final day was crucial as well. The main task was to put together bits and pieces and design the future scenario for this large partnership on rural radio. The day before, each group had chances to meet and discuss. Not so much as we hoped at the beginning but enough thanks to all the activities in preparation for the group work.

    Ten Steps To Facilitating Online

    http://alexanderhayes.com/ 2008/ 04/ 30/ ten-steps-to-facilitating-online/

With Nancy White’s guidance and some deep slow thinking I’ve put together a resource for more than one presentation venue on my take for facilitating successfully online today. I’ve taken the slant of the ‘responsible orgnaisation’ positing responsibility as a collaborative and enduring exercise rather than a teacher compliant model for delivery.

More on community management (part 3 or “what’s in a name”)

    http://www.fullcirc.com/ wp/ 2008/ 04/ 29/ more-on-community-management-part-3-o…

photo credit: os♥to I hate titling these blog posts with the words “community management.” After writing post 1 and post 2 on this topic (triggered by Chris Brogan), the words just feel wrong. But because this is the label that has been floating across our blog conversations, I’m keeping it in as
