Steve Moore's daily comic In the Bleachers is always pretty funny. I read it every Sunday morning in the L.A. Times while I sip my coffee and listen to jazz*. Okay, so with all that activity last week I thought I’d hold off on announcing the next open coffee so that this didn’t get lost in the hub-bub.  On August 12th we’re going to do an Open Coffee at the Georgia Tech bookstore Starbucks.  We’re going to run from 2pm until 6pm.  I’m going to hang out

Today is a glorious day for many college football fanatics, as it marks the first day of practice at many schools. Typically, I don't pay much attention to preseason polls, but it college football, you sort of have to considering how vital they are to ultimately determining a national champion.
