    Codies on Development Costs

    http://evo-gamer.com/ 2008/ 08/ 14/ codies-on-development-costs/

How much do you think the latest Codemasters games have cost to develop? A game like GRID you would have thought would cost at least £10 million. In fact GRID only cost about £6.8 million to make according to this MCV report. According to Codemasters CEO Rod Cousens GRID is expected to make around £32 million in total, more than enough to recoup those development costs.

    http://stiffrightjab.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 06/ 07/ baldwin-remembering-d-day/

Baldwin: Remembering D-Day by Chuck Baldwin Back on June 6, 1994, I was privileged to be invited to speak at the 50th anniversary of D-Day celebration at the National Cemetery, Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida. Today’s column is an edited copy of that address.

If you only watch part of this, start from about 7 min 30 sec. But it’s worth 10 minutes of your time. Memo to Mr. Obama: This is the America your preacher damns. We ARE the good guys and sometimes, when talking doesn’t work, you just have to go kill the bad guys. Learn your history.

    Troubled Bridge Over Water

June 6, 1944 is a date that is instantly recognizable to almost anyone who studies (or reads about or just watches movies about) World War II.  It’s the day that the Orne River Bridge was captured by Allied soldiers.  Wait.  You thought it was the day that Operation Overlord began.  D-Day.  The Invasion of France by the Allies.  Five thousand ships.  Three million men.  Right?

Patriots in The Patriot Room. If you only watch part of this, start from about 7 min 30 sec. But it’s worth 10 minutes to remember why we are the good guys and why sometimes, when talking doesn’t work, you just have to go kill the bad guys. America does not forget her heroes.

    Lest We Forget - June 6, 1944

    http://ballseyesboomers.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 06/ lest-we-forget-june-6-1944.html

Today is the 64th anniversary of the allied invasion of Normandy in an attempt to route the Nazi's from occupied France, and to double the efforts against the Nazis that had started with the invasion of Anzio months before. The invasion of Normandy was the largest amphibious assault in the history of the world.

“Eisenhower revealed a greatness of spirit as Supreme Commander and military leader of the Alliance which it is difficult to imagine being matched by another general.” – From Max Hastings in D-Day to V-E Day I wanted to write today about The Longest Day, Cornelius Ryan’s great account of the invasion of Normandy and one of my favorite books about World War II.

D-DAY 6th June 1944 … On coalitions of the willing, the roots of European Tyranny, and the Classical liberal’s gift to the world: forgetting.

David Davis Good and evil are objectively identifiable objects, concepts and truths.   Tomorrow is the 64th anniversary of Operation Overlord, the greatest amphibious assault (against a defended coast too) ever attempted.
