How much do you think the latest Codemasters games have cost to develop? A game like GRID you would have thought would cost at least £10 million. In fact GRID only cost about £6.8 million to make according to this MCV report. According to Codemasters CEO Rod Cousens GRID is expected to make around £32 million in total, more than enough to recoup those development costs.

This week's set of new releases include hyped games Alone in the Dark and Battlefield: Bad Company, Rock Band finally comes to the Wii, and we finally get the chance to play Guitar Hero: On Tour.

Baldwin: Remembering D-Day by Chuck Baldwin Back on June 6, 1994, I was privileged to be invited to speak at the 50th anniversary of D-Day celebration at the National Cemetery, Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida. Today’s column is an edited copy of that address.

Image via Wikipedia 64 years ago today, on 7th June 1944, thousands of young British, American & Canadians lay dead or dying on or near the beaches of Normandy, France. The D Day landings of 6th June had been a success!

If you only watch part of this, start from about 7 min 30 sec. But it’s worth 10 minutes of your time. Memo to Mr. Obama: This is the America your preacher damns. We ARE the good guys and sometimes, when talking doesn’t work, you just have to go kill the bad guys. Learn your history.

June 6, 1944 is a date that is instantly recognizable to almost anyone who studies (or reads about or just watches movies about) World War II.  It’s the day that the Orne River Bridge was captured by Allied soldiers.  Wait.  You thought it was the day that Operation Overlord began.  D-Day.  The Invasion of France by the Allies.  Five thousand ships.  Three million men.  Right?

Today is the 64th anniversary of the allied invasion of Normandy in an attempt to route the Nazi's from occupied France, and to double the efforts against the Nazis that had started with the invasion of Anzio months before. The invasion of Normandy was the largest amphibious assault in the history of the world.
