Purple and lilac have been pretty popular this spring. I made these swatches originally to help the girls at MUA find a cheaper alternative to the ever prohibitively expensive but wildly popular Rescue Beauty Lounge - Purple Haze. We were all pretty sad to find that there really isn’t a cheaper alternative to that particular color.

I’m still working with the nude-ish tone when it comes to nail polishes. I had considered sporting a darker one but finally deciding on this soft brown-sorta-pink-ish hue from ORLY Nail Lacquer called Sand Castle (Shimmer). The last nail polish I had on didn’t really last that long since I’ve been “roughing it” during the trip.

After my affair with dark nail polish, I’m now venturing into more nude-ish shades. Quite practical really since I am now headed to Vietnam and Cambodia right this very minute and will be there for the rest of this week. I treated myself to a manicure and pedicure last night, for both hygienic and aesthetic purposes.
