Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, August 2008: The Dubai-based luxury residential property developer, Select Group, today announced it had awarded its construction contract to the Ras Al-Khaimah based Construction Technology Contracting. (CTC) for its Pacific project on the off-shore man-made development of Al Marjan Island.

The 300 foot sand cliffs above Black’s Beach provide a great opportunity for hang gliders and paragliders to utilize the updrafts. From atop these cliffs, the towns of La Jolla and Del Mar can be seen. On a good breezy day, the area surrounding the gliderport looks like this photo, with multiple gliders in the air at any given time.
