T’was 3 o’clock in the afternoon and its payday! I thought of some fancy dinner with my partner. Not at some exotic restaurant or at the mall but at the convenience of our home. Its like some kind of reward for us from the work we’ve done for the past few days.

My boyfriend’s birthday just passed and I didn’t get him a gift because I was in the hospital having just had surgery. I’ve decided to get him a belated birthday gift but I couldn’t think of what I should get him. I decided though, on a paella pan and a new video game.

I think I have mentioned about my dream kitchen must-haves in my other blog. I wanted a set of Vision for my cooking utensils but haven’t got it until now because priorities have changed. Anyway, what we have now is a non-stick pans I bought from our Ninang Alma when she had a garage sale.

I know, “Yankee Paella” is a strange title.  But I think that’s what it is.  I’ve never had real paella, instead sticking to what I make at home, so I’m not even sure what the real stuff is like.  However, I do know that Ed and I both love this supper, and love that there are lots of leftovers.  I started making paella in the winter, and tonight’s paella was the best I’ve made yet.
