Gears of War 2: Content Filter Edition

    http://www.gearfuse.com/ gears-of-war-2-content-filter-edition/

Penny Arcade pretty much sums up what will happen if Gears of War 2 comes with parental controls. Remember kids: Mom is a classy lady. Link

More "Fun" with South Dakota Planned Parenthood's new slogan - Let Families Decide

    http://www.voicescarryblog.com/ more-fun-with-south-dakota-planned-parenthoods-n…

Oh, the hypocrisy of Planned Parenthood's new slogan here in South Dakota - Let Families Decide. I have more to say about it here. Here is my second submission to their "fun photo contest" which recently got underway to help launch their new slogan. I have a teenage daughter so I have an opinion on this - a strong one.

    A MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT FOR EMMA!!

    http://blogs.thirdfamily.com/ candace/ ?p=291

This morning we woke up around 9:30. Mark had to end up sleeping with his head at the foot of the bed because Emma kind of took over his pillows. Even though Emma was between the two of us she somehow managed to climb down off the bed. Mark is a very light sleeper so we really aren’t sure how she did that.

Can you believe it’s been ONE YEAR?

    http://blogs.thirdfamily.com/ candace/ ?p=292

Today Mark and Larry spent the majority of the day moving the rest of our stuff out of our storage unit and into Larry and Ramona’s garage. Will, Emma, and I stayed home. I finally got caught up on the laundry. Both kids were well behaved for the most part.

Let's have FUN kicking off our Campaign to Kill

    http://www.voicescarryblog.com/ lets-have-fun-kicking-off-our-campaign-to-kill/

Those who profit from aborting South Dakota children have now unveiled 2008's version of "this law goes too far." Of course, "this law goes too far" won't work this time around because Initiative 11 is exactly what the voters of South Dakota wanted in '06 - exceptions for rape and incest.

Last day of school for Will…

    http://blogs.thirdfamily.com/ candace/ ?p=281

Mark and I have decided that today will be Will’s last day at the ‘Verri Patch’ in Palm Bay. We will be putting him in the one near our place, when VPK starts next month. Mark and I explained to him yesterday that he wouldn’t be going back to school for a while and he that he will be attending a new school when he does return in August.

    Cheerleading Dad

This has very little (ok…pretty much nothing) to do with what I normally blog about.  However, this commercial is so cute, so endearing, so funny, and sends such a great message that I felt compelled to share it.

    Visit to Trinity United Methodist

    http://blogs.thirdfamily.com/ candace/ ?p=266

This morning I woke up around 6:30 in excruciating pain. I realized that Caitlyn was in the room getting a diaper, apparently Emma thought 6:15 was wake up time. I felt bad that she woke Danielle and Caitlyn up but they took care of her so that I could go back to sleep.

    Kickball disaster…

    http://blogs.thirdfamily.com/ candace/ ?p=267

This morning we woke up around 9:30. Caitlyn and Jeanie had almost finished cooking breakfast. Jeanie cooked the eggs while Caitlyn toasted the waffles. It was very yummy. I hope that Will and Emma grow up to be just as helpful as Caitlyn. After breakfast we all took the kid’s out to the playground.

    Vegetable Surprises

    http://innovationgonewrong.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 07/ 11/ vegetable-surprises/

Hello IGWers, I am getting pretty sick of seeing kids tricked into drinking vegetables disguised as fruit. I think every company making juice does it, but eventually all these kids are going to realize that there were vegetables in their drinks. At what point do these kids revolt? I think that this is like disguising veggie burgers as hamburgers.
