Is it good so far? I’ve seen this meme around a few blogs lately, and although I mostly refuse to do memes “properly” (i.e. I tend not to tag other people to post on the same meme) this one struck me as a good one.

I’ve spent nearly all of the the last three days in my shop turning wood. A year ago this would have been fun for me, but not too much fun or engaging for others. Today, we have an onslaught of new media tools that let us take our obscure arts and bring them to the world.

But, that's me.I was going to toss together all three authors I mentioned chatting with, earlier this week, but then my brain went splat .

Lottery by Patricia Wood was released in paperback last week.  Patricia Wood was the only American author with the distinction of making the short list of finalists for this year’s Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction.  They were kind enough to link to my review of her book as the primary review

Dr. Laura Hershey, Bee Lady Extraordinaire, was once stung TWO HUNDRED FORTY times! She blames this incident on herself, not the bees. Apparently, she was moving wooden frames, bee condos if you will, and tried to carry more than she could handle. The result: she dropped a frame or two full of bees.
