BANT practitioners are expected to work alongside the medical practitioner and clients must not be led to believe that nutritional therapy replaces that medical care.

Gimpy has decided to deal with Patrick Holford on his excellent blog, arguing that the poor quality of Holford’s work is usually covered by the always-admirable Holfordwatch but Patrick does produce a surfeit…so this time round I think I will deal with it.

While a number of sources have commented on Matthias Rath’s now-dropped libel case against the Guardian and Ben Goldacre - links are here - I am surprised to see that the ‘alternative’ medicine community seems to have remained silent on this*.

A blog comment recently suggested that we’re not giving enough attention to the Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine, and as it happens I have recently been reading Holford et al’s article in the journal on low glycemic load diets.
