Should I see it? Nope. There's an underground movement of people with extraordinary psychic powers. Using their powers they can control other's minds or even make their head explode. Oh yeah, their heads explode. This isn't the kind of premise which leads to a production that collects too many accolades.

A couple of days ago I wrote about SeekTheSix.com and the mysterious puzzle cards that I recieved. As I noted then this is part of a marketing campaign to promote AMC’s new version of the 1960s cult classic The Prisoner. The the website was actually only part of a grassroots campaign that AMC launched at Comic Con.

I don’t normally post at the weekend, but I received an amusing little puzzle in the mail and thought i’d share. I got two padded envelopes each containing a small card. When I placed one card on top of the other, I got a message directing me to the website Seek The Six.

The Prisoner: McKellen and Caviezel Signed for 2009 Mini-Series The 1960s sci-fi phenomenon, The Prisoner TV series, looks to be headed back to the small screen in 2009. AMC and British network ITV is re-making the cult show into a six-part mini-series that will begin shooting later this summer.

BROADCAST/CABLE AMC and ITV are working on an updated version of “The Prisoner,” the 1960s series starring Patrick McGoohan that served as a metaphor for Cold War paranoia. The remake, scheduled for some time in 2009, will star Ian McKellen as Number Two and Jim Caviezel as Number Six.
