But this week's episode of The Amazing Race might be better titled a "Ball of Confusion." I'm not talking only about the inevitable airport fiasco we're privy to each week.

I’ve always been a fan of CBS’s The Amazing Race. This is our pizza and TV night as a family, watching contestants travel all over the world. Each member of our household chooses a team at the beginning of the season, and whoever chooses the winning team (or whose team makes it the farthest) gets to decide our family night out.

What doesn't make sense to me is that the Travel Channel picked up seasons 12-14 of The Amazing Race.

We’ve got all the normal dysfunctional people, like good-looking girls, arguing couples, blondes, marriages on the rocks and two from New York who think that city will of course give them an edge just because.

For The Amazing Race’s next season, CBS will be taking viewers on a whole new set of adventures. Adventures not yet seen even after 12 installments of the Emmy-award winning series. Although we’ll still get what we have come to know and love - 11 teams, five continents, 30,000 miles of travel - the producers of the reality hit promise us that Season 13 will be like no other.
