    Monday Madness: Pink for October

    http://www.fragileheart.com/ journal/ 2008/ 10/ monday-madness-pink-for-october/…

This week’s Monday Madness is being dedicated to October, that is Breast Cancer Awareness month. You may or may not have noticed that I changed the background to mauve1. I was lucky in that my theme is mostly pink anyway, and I was able to ‘go pink’ for October just by changing the hex code in the style sheet for this theme.

    Pink for October Year 2

    http://www.sandierpastures.com/ personal-thoughts/ pink-for-october-year-2.html

October is breast cancer awareness month and blogs/websites all over the world want to draw attention to the early detection of breast cancer. With all these talk about breasts, this blog is going pink for October, just like last year. I almost forgot about this until I saw a friend’s blog turning pink.

13 More Beautiful Pink for October Site Designs

    http://essentialkeystrokes.com/ 13-more-beautiful-pink-for-october-site-designs/…

Its October again and just a few days into the month more than 500 websites have gone pink in support of Breast Cancer awareness (including two of mine). Its not too late to get involved - and you don’t have to turn your website pink to do it - how about a pink Twitter background or give your avatar a pink sheen.

How LOW Will Komen GO?: Teri's Entry

    http://www.assertivepatient.com/ 2008/ 10/ how-low-will-komen-go-teris-entry.htm…

Teri, the Cheeky Librarian, sent me this entry to our contest: Hair Extensions for Breast Cancer Awareness And here is the comment that I tried to post on the ABC News site, but the "security key" (where you have to read letters against a weird background and type them in) defeated me about eight times.

    BC Joe Does Yoga

    http://www.assertivepatient.com/ 2008/ 10/ bc-joe-does-yoga.html

The GI Joe doll I bought the other day to remake as Breast Cancer Joe is pretty amazing: The entire doll is jointed. His head not only turns all the way around, but it tilts forward and back. His elbows are jointed, as are his wrists and even his fingers.

How LOW Will Komen GO?: My Entry

    http://www.assertivepatient.com/ 2008/ 10/ how-low-will-komen-go-my-entry.html

I found this little grooming tool at Bed, Bath & Beyond the other day, in a display of pink products grouped under a banner (pink, of course) that read: "support pink!"It was tough to choose among the array of TRIVIAL pink products on sale at BB&B--who designed the pink-ribbon tweezers, for example?

    By the banks

    http://willknott.ie/ 2008/ 10/ 04/ by-the-banks/

This lovely lady (after some discussion on pix.ie) appears to be Brody Dalle, the singer of The Distillers, now Spinnerette here is a better stencil of her (created by Paulie Slim), and while it’s still graffiti / street art based, is something I sat on when I posted the other Cork graffiti shots.

    Make Firefox Pink for October

    http://www.twistermc.com/ blog/ 2008/ 10/ 04/ pink-for-october

Have you heard of the Pink for October campaign?  What they ask is that people modify their sites, aviators or whatever they can to add a bit of pink and spread breast cancer awareness.  You may have already noticed this and just didn’t realize why things were changing to pink.

BlogF1 Has Gone Pink For October

    http://blogf1.co.uk/ 2008/ 10/ 04/ blogf1-has-gone-pink-for-october/

You may have noticed that BlogF1 currently has a pink hue to it, a change from the regular grey and green that has adorned the site since May. The change is only temporary, so if the colours offend your eyes you need not worry. However, as with last year, BlogF1 has gone Pink For October.
