    Jay Z was honored at the United Nations Global Leadership Awards Gala in New York on Wednesday for his work in Africa, where he had recently returned after working with programs to supply clean water. In honor of Jay- Z, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon rapped at the awards ceremony saying: Since one of the honorees is my man Jay-Z, I think I’ll try his language tonight.

    Scientists “Listen” To Plants To Detect Pollution

    A group of Israeli scientists have found a way to “listen” to plants in order to detect the presence of different types of water pollution. By shinning a laser beam on small pieces of algae floating in the water, they’re able to hear sound waves that describe the types and levels of water contamination.
