Pushing Daisies
Pushing Daisies is a television comedy which aired its first episode in 2007. Created by Bryan Fuller, it tells the story of Ned, who makes pies. He is also hiding a huge secret. He can bring the dead back to life with a touch. While the premise is a bit more complex, the quirky storylines and whimsical costumes are perfect to help draw in viewers. Fans often have people over to watch the show, and then post online about the experience on blog sites.
Lackluster ratings caused ABC to cancel the show in its second season, despite a high degree of popularity. This happened even though attempts were made to save the show through petitions and various write in campaigns. When the finale aired on June 13, 2009, plenty of folks made sure they watched. They also went to the Internet to write up blog entries with their opinions of what took place.
Pushing Daisies may be off the air, but the tales will continue in comic book form. A twelve issue series is in the works, and fans are already looking forward to reading all about Ned and his friends.
