Nokia have decided that Qik, a free live video streaming service which Nokia users can use to stream live video to the internet with their mobile phone camera is to be included in the new Nokia XpressMusic 5800 mobile handset.

Massive congratulations to Qik, which has already somehow secured a spot in the Download! application loaded on the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. Typically, to get Qik on your phone, you need to setup an account on your PC and then wait for an activation SMS, which contains a download link.This will make it easier than ever to use Qik for on-the-go live video streaming.

Qik, a free live video streaming service for users to stream live video to the Internet with their mobile phone camera, will be included with the new Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone. Makers of live video streaming service Qik have announced that it will be coming to Nokia’s touch screen 5800 XpressMusic shortly - but contrary to earlier rumours, it won’t be preloaded onto the device. Nok-users who want to stream video footage from the phone live to family and friends will be able to grab the Qik app (for free!) from the 5800’s Download! service.

Over on their official blog, Qik has announced support for the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic when it finally comes out.
