Sunday night’s 4-3, overtime victory over the Vancouver Canucks at GM Place enabled the Ducks to wrap up their exhibition schedule with a 6-1-1 record, the best in franchise history. The club had previously posted only two winning exhibition campaigns, 4-2-1 in 2003 and 3-2-3 in 2006.

The Ducks surrendered what will now turn out to be a seventh-round selection in the 2010 NHL entry draft for the chance to see if Swedish winger Joakim Lindstrom might develop into a top-six forward. If that happens, it does not appear it will be with the Ducks.
