SCEE’s just put dates on most of its fourth quarter line-up for all PS platforms, and has finally confirmed Resistance 2 for a November 28 release. A moderator made a post in the myresistance.net forums saying that Resistance 2 beta codes will be sent out to those that have got accepted tomorrow at 11pm Pacific Time.  oh yeah, and by Monday .. I mean like 11:oo Pacific Time …  I REALLY doubt we’ll hear anything until then. … .

The hook-up is a little convoluted, but Sony announced earlier this week a way to use a PS3 dual-shock controller with your PSP, giving you both a second analog stick and rumble capabilities. You will need to hook your AV cable up to your TV and then connect your PSP (2000 and 3000 models only)

Kombo writes: "There was a long wait time to play Resistance 2, which unfortunately turned out to be wasted time. I liked the original and am a big fan of the storyline and concept but my first impressions of number 2 are not good. The graphics are of Halo 3 standard at their very best and of Halo 2 at their worst.

Gears of War design boss Cliff Bleszinski, speaking to Das Gamer, has refused to be drawn on comparisons between Gears 2 and Resistance 2, saying the two are completely separate entities. “When you break it down and look at each game, it’s largely apples to oranges,” he said.

There are some pretty interesting benefits to owning both Resistance 2 for your PS3 and Resistance: Retribution for the PSP. You’ll be able to connect the two systems together via a USB cable, choose to “infect” your PSP and gain all sorts of extra goodies for the game on your PSP.

Sony has just announced at the Tokyo Game Show, that PSP gamers will be getting official access to the PlayStation Network Store in Japan, through their PSP’s starting October 15th. (more…)

As any PSP owner has surely experienced by now, Sony’s portable has suffered through a bit of a game drought over the past four or five months. Relief is on the way, though, at least on the first-party front with Sony readying three major titles: Resistance: Retribution and sequels for LocoRoco and Patapon (and no doubt many other titles we don’t yet know about).
