What do you get when you cross Rice Krispies Treats with Rice Chex? A gluten free snack that is even better than the original! I made Rice Chex Treats when we were visiting my parents over Labor Day. My dad wanted to make Rice Krispies Treats for David . . . and then remembered that Rice Krispies are not gluten free.

GF RICE CHEX As you might have read elsewhere, General Mills is now producing its popular Rice Chex cereal gluten-free, replacing barley malt syrup with molasses (and possibly saving money by avoiding rising barley prices that might make gf beer prices look a lot more reasonable).

1 Stick (1/2 Cup) of butter 3/4 cup peanut butter 1 (12 oz) gluten free chocolate chips 1 (12 oz) package Rice Chex (Make sure you get the Gluten Free box) 2 1/2 cup powdered sugar Melt butter, peanut butter and chocolate chips in microwave for 3 minutes. Stir to blend. Pour over Rice Chex.
