The Books That Changed My Perception of Reality

    http://www.nickpagan.com/ blog/ 127/ influential-books/

Once I read a statement that said, “You will be the same person in 10-years time that you are today apart from the books that you read and the people that you meet.” The idea being that it is the influence of people more learned or more experienced than you that teaches you.

    Annoying Celebrity Do-Gooders

    http://www.getlisty.com/ annoying-celebrity-do-gooders/

Maxim magazine has had it up to here with celebs professing to give back. Here’s the mag’s list of top do-goodie-two-shoes and our interpretations of their respective causes/offenses. What Chill Wind Was That?

    http://roadsassy.com/ index.php/ 2008/ 04/ 13/ what-chill-wind-was-that/

A chill wind is blowing in this nation. … Every day, the air waves are filled with warnings, veiled and unveiled threats, spewed invective and hatred directed at any voice of dissent. And the public, like so many relatives and friends that I saw this weekend, sit in mute opposition and fear.

The Screengrab Top Ten: The Baseball Movie All-Stars, Part 1

    http://www.nerve.com/ CS/ blogs/ screengrab/ archive/ 2008/ 04/ 10/ the-screngra…

Spring is here! Okay, not in my apartment, but I've read that it's here, some places, apparently, and with it, the return of what's left of baseball, the American game. Sports in general, and baseball in particular, have a spotty history in the movies.

Tina Fey wasn’t saying The Daily Show isn’t funny (not that she’d be all that wrong if she was)

    http://remote.lohudblogs.com/ 2008/ 03/ 23/ tina-fey/

Tina Fey wasn’t saying The Daily Show isn’t funny (not that she’d be all that wrong if she was) March 23 I’d say a tad too much was made of Tina Fey’s recent comments in an interview with Reader’s Digest (No, seriously! Reader’s Digest!) with regard to The Daily Show.
