I am digging around in the SI Vault today. I was wondering when was the last time a jockey made the cover of SI. It's been a while, almost twenty years since Julie Krone was featured. There have been ten covers with jockey profiles, Hartack and Cauthen made the cover twice.

New American Gladiators Girls American Gladiators Girls Are you ready for some more American Gladiators? The NBC revival of the brutal reality competition show will premiere its second season on Monday, May 12 at 8pm with a two hour premiere. After that, American Gladiators will settle into its Monday 8pm time slot with 90-minute episodes.

It looks like Erin Toughill is no longer being considered for the post of new American Gladiator. Maybe this is due to the recent bad publicity (click here) she has received, or possibly it was all rumors to begin with. I do know that on the official American Gladiator’s site, her name is not on the list.

In this interview, American Gladiator’s Monica Carlson and Hulk Hogan talk about season two. They give the scoop on the new event, Rocketball. Monica is the season one female winner and is now a gladiator known as Jet.
