I’d like to do it up big for our start/sit coverage this season. Rather than just spouting off names, why don’t we add a little element of interactivity? I’ll starting things off with a few players that could do it up big or stink this week, and you can drop any questions you have in the comments to have them answered before you have to set your roster.

The NFL kick-off is scheduled for 1Pm Eastern time and the Miami Dolphins have updated their injury report and named a starter at RB for the 1st game of the season.  Ronnie Brown, you can take a seat.  The return of Ricky Williams has finally put to rest the Ricky/Ronnie drama.  While both backs will see significant playing time, it will be Ricky who heads onto the field first.

When the 08 schedule came out and opening week saw the Jets flying to Miami in week one to play the Dolphins, not many thought anything of it. What can change in four months. Now on Sunday at Dolphin Stadium, the matchup between the Fins and Jets have about as many interesting storylines as any in the league, mostly surrounding two QB’s that have changed zip codes.

Back to being the starting RB with the Dolphins, ESPN is reporting that the team has given running back Ricky Williams a one-year extension that will keep him in Miami through the 09 season.  The report says a source shared with ESPN’s Chris Mortensen that the back did not get a signing bonus, but his salary goes up significantly over this year’s base of $730,000.

Chris Johnson- Tennessee Titants Chris Johnson Chris Johnson has been displaying some tremendous skills in the preseason so far and his ridiculous speed (4.24, 40) gives him that home run ability we all like. Also, consider that the Titans ran the ball more than any other team in the league last year and that the only thing standing in his way is the hefty Lendale White.

Few teams went through more of a turbulent offseason than the Miami Dolphins. They got a new Coach in Tony Sparano. They have a new QB in Chad Pennington. They are welcoming an old face back in Ricky Williams while the face of their franchise (Jason Taylor) was shipped out to the Nation’s Capital.
