Okay, I admit it, I'm a Home Body Native Louisiana Iris It has taken me a while to admit it, but I am truly a homebody. I would love to just hang out here most of the day and putter around. Do projects on or for the house, hang out in the garden getting my flower beds looking their best.

I’d like to thank everyone who stopped by to express their condolences on the loss of Chris’ cousin who was a very good friend of ours. I was supposed to be in another city and attending the visitations today, but I got really sick yesterday and our car broke down.

There really is no such thing as a “black rose.” There are nearly black roses, and I want to name some of them for you, so that you will know what to look for if this type of rose interests you. The following list is what I have read are  nearly black, you may find that they are really dark red, but what the heck, you can always look at them and see for yourself!

This post, "Bringing the Plants Inside", was written for my blogspot blog called The Transplantable Rose by Annie in Austin. Last Wednesday I planted bulbs while wearing shorts, because it was 89°F in early afternoon. The temperatures quickly dropped and we woke to 38°F on Thanksgiving morning.
