Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson is an American actress and singer. She was born on November 22, 1984 in New York City. She got her big break in the 1998 Robert Redford flick The Horse Whisperer and followed that up with acclaimed performances in films like Ghost World (2001), Lost In Translation (2003), Match Point (2005) and Vicky Christina Barcelona (2008).

The youngest of four siblings, Scarlett Johansson first became interested in acting when she was just three years old. She made her stage debut in the early 1990s in the off-Broadway production of Sophistry.

A four time Golden Globe-nominated actress, Scarlett Johansson is widely considered to be one of the most promising young stars in Hollywood today.

Johansson married Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds in a private ceremony on Vancouver Island in Tofino, British Columbia. She had previously been romantically linked to famous men like: Benicio del Toro, Jared Leto, Justin Timberlake and Josh Hartnett.


Scarlett Johansson released her debut album Anywhere I Lay My Head on May 20, 2008. She followed that up with Break Up in the summer of 2009.
